Currently, our regular events look a little different than they did prior to the COVID-19 shutdown. Please be sure to check individual event pages to be sure to have the most up-to-date information.
Our monthly social dances are typically held on a Saturday night, are 2-3 hours long, and have both a beginner and intermediate workshop class held immediately beforehand. On most Wednesday evenings, we also offer weeknight social dances with 2 hours of social dancing and a short drop-in lesson beforehand.
If you’re new to dancing or West Coast Swing in particular, don’t be overwhelmed — come out to our beginner bootcamp, beginner series, or a beginner “crash course” at our monthly dance, and in no time you’ll be ready to join us out on the social dance floor. West Coast Swing dancers are known for dancing socially with people of all levels and abilities, so we know you’ll be welcomed and find your groove.
A few times per year, MWCSC puts together a workshop day or weekend, which turns our typical monthly dance into an even more exciting and memorable event, with more workshops and more fellow dancers. Finally, MWCSC encourages all our dancers to attend an occasional regional or national dance convention, where there are non-stop workshops, competitions, and social dancing for 3-4 days… and hundreds of fun people to meet and dance with!
No matter your level or your dance goals, you have plenty of opportunity to dance with the Madison West Coast Swing Club. For the most up-to-date news on events, join our mailing list.
