Unfortunately due to COVID-19 risks, the Beginner Lesson Series is currently on hold, and we will not schedule another series until we feel it is safe to do so. Please check back soon for future dates.
Are you new to West Coast Swing? Do you want to review the basics? Do you want to learn a new role? Then this is the class for you!
West Coast Swing is a fun, social dance that’s perfect for a wide range of music from artists like Ed Sheeran, Michael Jackson, Roomful of Blues, Fifth Harmony, Charlie Wilson, Jason Derulo, and Selena Gomez.
No previous dance experience is required, and you don’t need to register with a partner – we rotate during class.
You’ll learn basic 6- and 8-count moves, such as the sugar push, left and right side passes, tucks, and the basic whip – everything you need to get out on the dance floor.
To encourage you to try out your new moves, you’ll receive a punch card for 5 free weekly dances at the Brink – a $25 value!
The instructor for this series is now Sayeed Ahmed!
This class is a series and progresses from week to week, so no new students may start after the second week.
Standard pricing (1/31 or later):
- Non-members: If you are new to the club or your membership has expired, the eight-week series is $81. This includes a one-year membership ($25) which entitles you to discounts at all our weekly and monthly dances.
- Members: $56.
- Students and sister-club members: $56, membership is not required.
- One lesson: You can try the first night of the series for $10, which will count towards the full price of the series if you decide to continue.
If you’re registering the first night of class, please arrive 15 minutes early to register. We can accept cash or check, as well as credit card payments with a small processing fee.
