Want to meet new people? Get some exercise? Learn a new skill?
The Madison West Coast Swing Club offers all these opportunities and much more. Our nonprofit club provides a chance to socialize while enjoying new dance moves to a variety of music, ranging from rhythm and blues to pop and country.
We offer weekly and monthly dances, plus an e-mail list to keep you informed of West Coast Swing dance opportunities locally and in the region.
We also offer dance lessons for beginners and beyond. Our beginner lessons are taught by Crystal Fischer, who has been a vital member of MWCSC for over 12 years and has competed and won awards nationally. Her vivacious personality and comprehensive knowledge of West Coast Swing dancing makes the club's lessons both fun and educational!
Intermediate lessons are taught by a variety of the club's advanced dancers.
Bridge to Intermediate for Experienced Beginners lessons are taught as needed.
Join us to learn this versatile dance, and then enjoy our regular social dance opportunities.
Remember to use proper dance etiquette!
Weekly West Coast Swing: We're at BADGER BOWL every Wednesday.
On Wed. April 25, 2012, join us for a special HOUR LONG intermediate West Coast Swing lesson, taught by Soleman Krebs, from 7-8 pm. Admission to this lesson is $6 for members, $8 for non-members. Sorry, no sister club discount.
Soleman will also be teaching lessons on Thursday evenings, beginning April 26.
Monthly Dance, at Tempo Dance Studio, 701 N. High Point Road, Madison.
Here's a YouTube video of Crystal doing a fun WCS dance routine with her pro dancer (at the time) Mike Topel. The video has more than 8000 views, from people as far away as Australia and France.
